Monday 30th September

Klang, Malaysia
We were in no hurry to get off the ship this morning as we have been to KL before and had decided that we would stay close to the port and go to Klang Town.  KL is about a 60 to 90 drive from the ship whereas Klang is about 15 minutes.  We opted for the ship's shuttle at $16 return each.  We were on our way by 10.30ish and headed for Klang.  The shuttle drop was at a very large shopping centre called Bukit Tinggi.  We then got a taxi and headed for Little India.  We walked the streets, ate the food and did a spot of shopping.  We visited a mosque or two and walked to the Royal Palace which was quite a walk on a very hot day.  At 1ish we taxied back to the shopping centre where we enjoyed the comfort of air conditioning!!  After a quick stop at the supermarket to replenish our stock of wine and beer, plus sun cream and toothpaste we headed in separate directions.... me browsing and Peter shopping for his blood pressure tablets!!  At least he had his script but wouldn't you think you would have enough supply for the time that you are away!!
We reunited in time to get the 4 o'clock shuttle back to the ship... last shuttle at 4.30pm.
Shopping was good but wish I had got the third pair of shoes... I have bought 4 pairs so far....
My other regret is that I did not buy a unique hand lacquered bangle in Agra... I still might have it posted to me when I get home... (Shhhh.... don't tell Peter....).
We now have 4 days at sea before we reach Darwin, our last port.... Ohhhhhhh.....
